Hello everyone.

I'm not playing much anymore (you could say that i quit music altogether this year) due to a number of reasons. Family issues, work stuff.... But mainly it has not been fun anymore so i'm done with the pursuing-this-as-a-career-thing.

I would prefer to be a hobbyist i think. I would prefer to make music for the 600-1000 people who know me and enjoy my tunes (you are in that number as you are still on this list) rather than spend so much time trying to convince people who do not know me that they should. I woud prefer to make music rather than promote it, and the past few years have proven that i do not posess the skill requisite to "sell it". I think growing up is showing the maturity to concentrate on the painting standing in front of you, rather than the painting inside your head that you set out to make in the first place. One is real. The other is not.

So.

I quit this year. No piano. No guitar. No singing. It was hard but it was really really good. And to prove that The Universe has a perverse sense of humour I began to be introduced to people who are interested in making music with me - not for glory or gain - but only that music it is pleasurable to make and pleasureable to share.

So that is where i am at. Thought you should know.

I have been asked to play in NYC and in Cleveland in the next 10 days - i will post links to both events below if you are near either place and would like to hear how things have turned out. I most likely will not be playing gigs again till april or may of 2012.

Much love to you and your loved ones. I hope that the future burns bright.
